I don't see the US aiding the Kurds at all in the fight for Mosul, not officially anyway. I see the US assisting the Iraqi forces in the tactics necessary to hit ISIS squarely, while our "Advisers" positioning the Kurds in Support by fire positions. In the end, it HAS to be the Iraqi Army that beats ISIS for National support
