This is great news for the families of the three kidnapped American contractors. The three Americans kidnapped from a Baghdad apartment last month have been released to the American embassy in Baghdad. When no ransom was asked demanded for their release there was a fear that the men had been executed. It's a relief to learn of their release. The three were kidnapped by Shiite militia because of their citizenship but not because a ransom was desired. Credit for gaining release of the three contractors has been given to Iraq's government. Keeping in mind that the Government of Iraq is predominately Shiite, one could only assume that this was advantageous to them in seeking to find and secure the release of these men.
