I think the first bullet really makes a lot of sense. Many are realizing that LinkedIn is an ocean of jobs, job seekers, and recruiters that is not very easily sorted by industry. It's difficult for those that want to connect and seek mentorship in very specific career fields like medicine, software engineering, or higher education. You're starting to see those folks join social communities that align better to their careers.
