Story-telling and "BS-ing" are staples of our military culture. The more elaborate the story, typically the farther from reality they become. However, don't discount the value of a good BS session. story-telling in itself is a very therapeutic, and educational part of how we learn and recover from the job. Interestingly, the scientific community acknowledges the value of story telling as a therapeutic outlet for first responders and servicemembers alike. When we are immersed in our culture, our audience with whom we've shared experiences with, story-telling helps us in ways no other professionals can. Of course, good story-telling and great BS sessions build camaraderie, while in some cases, pass on great lessons learned. Considering the awesome value...have fun and story-on!
