I know the Cooking Spray on the shovel works, periodically you'll have to renew it.
Wax on Cloth Shoes will work also and the wax will appear to disappear but will still shed water.
The Rice in Socks will work but for only a short time unless you are always near a Microwave Oven, so for extended outdoor use those are a no go.
The insulation on the bottom of the door may work, but it may also cause your door not to close tightly.
