There has to be some minimum standards that are practical. Male or female you don't meet them your not eligible or your out. A war time milatary isn't the place for PC, especially for direct combat personnel. But it's Obamas military I would expect no less.

I remember the Marines saying they would not lower standards to accommodate women. But allowing push ups in lieu of pull ups is lowering standards even if the maximum score you can get from push ups is 70. I'm 55 years old and can still do around five times as many push ups as I can pull ups. There is just no way that someone who can only do push ups is anywhere near as strong as those who can do pull ups.

Not only was what the Marines said BS lie, the physical standards are already lower for women then men by a lot!. In general, they cannot lift as much, are getting out on medical discharges at an alarming rate (bone and hip problems), they forfeit their womanliness to try and "be like the men", the majority of women in the ground force are foul and pose a serious threat to the men around them because they are being told that the men around them are rapists. Men have to seriously watch their six with these women or else they'll end up with sexual harassment charge slapped on them so fast they won't know what hit them. I see it ALL the time. The Military is about a notch away from being nothing more than an extension of the public school system.
