What an outstanding and inspiring story. I think that many of us realize what a small fraternity (women included) that the military has become over the last couple of decades. But reading that MSG Josh Wheeler, the Detla Force Operator that was recently killed in Iraq, had been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan 14 times really opened my eyes. The military has and will always be pawns to be used by politicians to do the dirty work, but we need better leaders making decisions as to why, where and when Amercian blood will be shed. Epecially when those making the decisions have little or no skin in the game.

MSgt John Carroll, For me, this article was very hard to get through the first part of the story, very touching and seemed to pull me in.

My wife said she couldn't make it through. I introduced her to Reese a few years ago and I guess this story hits too close to home for her.

It is 0718 on 12 Nov. I can't read the whole story right now, because I have to go to Oklahoma to bury my brother, who died of a heart attack on 18 October. I will read it when I get back. But what I have read so far underscores an important point.....we are all family. My parents have been gone for three years. My only brother by birth is gone now, too. But I have thousands of brothers and sisters born of fire. I can't think of many professions that bond people so closely together, and I thank God he made me a soldier.
