Great post Colonel! I am a Veterans-to Veterans Hospice volunteer and it's just such a rewarding feeling being able to be there with these Veterans during their last days on earth. I am truly honored to be able to be there for them and their families.

There are great Americans out there that care. My hometown of quincy, MA through Harvey's Salt Water fishing club, local Lobstermen, and Quincy Yacht Club have taken the Veterans at the local VA Hospital for an annual fishing trip and lunch for the last few decades.

COL Mikel J. Burroughs - Mikel; Did you notice the "‘You know, I didn’t even think about using my oxygen once today,’” Werkmeister said. Larue typically uses oxygen four to five times a day. “He didn’t want to go home, he wanted to stay out and fish.”" bit?

Just one more piece of evidence that your mind has a lot more to do with your health than your doctor wants you to think it does.
