I don't expect most people to understand this but, surely, I am not expecting too much when I say that the President (and/or his advisors) should understand it. Biden can't "ERASE" student debt! Someone has to pay it. Why not the students who signed the contracts and allowed some financial institution to pay their way? Why US? We the People, thanks to Congress, are co-signers on those loans. If they don't pay them, We must. If the students don't and We don't, then the investors of those financial institutions will pay them. Regardless, those loans WILL be paid. They can't be just "erased." If you want to help out these students who got themselves into this mess, why not allow them to enter military service and apply the GI education benefits that they accrue for honorable service to help pay off those loans?
