I do not understand the strong resistance to removing sexual assault adjudication and prosecution from the alleged perpetrator's chain-of-command. Most officers are not legal experts, and it's hard for me to believe that SJAs are not unduly influenced by their chain-of-command. Something has to change in how the military approaches the issue, and more SHARP briefings are not the answer. Keeping adjudication within the chain-of-command has clearly not preserved "good order and discipline."
