Just In: Obama Kills Paris Attack Masterminds, Liberates Major Iraqi City

While the right-wing echo chamber continually lambastes President Obama for his “weak” and “ineffective” policies for dealing with the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/Daesh), his patience and precision have been quietly bearing fruit – crucially, without unnecessarily risking the lives of American or drastically destabilizing the region, as the Republican calls for a ground invasion would certainly do. Over the past month, ten major ISIS leaders have been killed in airstrikes, including the men behind the shockingly brutal terrorist attacks in Paris that killed over 130 people.
U.S. Army Colonel Steve Warren announced recently that “over the past month, we’ve killed 10 ISIL leadership figures with targeted air strikes, including several external attack planners, some of whom are linked to the Paris attacks. Others had designs on further attacking the West.” These targets include Abdul Qader Hakim, a key planner for ISIS operations outside of their territory, and Charaffe al Mouadan, the “ringleader” of the unit that carried out the Paris attacks.

The point is the unreasonable, unworthy rant that goes on constantly against the president when he has done an outstanding job under very difficult circumstances.
Will the same people come along now and give the president some credit?
I'm guessing that most of them still want him impeached for being born in Kenya.

The story line would be more accurate if it said: After two years of paying lip service to going after ISIS, Obama FORCED to get tough after Paris and San Bernardino and sinking poll numbers on terrorism.
What should be obvious, but clearly is not for some here, is that Obama was paying lip service and only doing the absolute minimum to allow hit to say he was still go after ISIS without doing any material damage. Now with sinking poll numbers, Paris, San Bernardino, the downing of a Russian airline AND sinking poll numbers and plots being broken up everywhere he is acting.
You have to ask yourself, had he done this a year ago could some of these attacks been avoided. Tough to say for sure but keeping them on defense allow little time for planning attacks. It is amazing what happens when the poll numbers get really bad for him. This could have happened at any time over the last almost two years. He has been given no additional war powers or declarations etc. He is using power he has had the entire time.
It should be a wake up call to all of those that thought he was doing all he could to defeat ISIS, he clearly was not.

Nah. A policy patiently applied finally began to bear fruit.
The Obama Administration right after taking office ramped drone strikes way up. That was POTUS' answer to boots on the ground.
And now it looks to be having some effect. Of course without good intel, drone strikes are useless.
"Research by the Bureau also shows there have now been nearly nine times more strikes under Obama in Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia than there were under his predecessor, George W Bush.
And the covert Obama strikes, the first of which hit Pakistan just three days after his inauguration, have killed almost six times more people and twice as many civilians than those ordered in the Bush years, the data shows."
