In January 1961, two nuclear bombs (that's right - TWO) fell out of a B-52 bomber that broke in half and landed near Goldsboro, NC. Fortunately, one of the bombs failed to arm and the other, which was armed, did not detonate due to another part of the bomb being damaged.
