LTC Yinon Weiss DB alert!

However, I do think it's a travesty that Mabus named a ship after her. She was a victim. She didn't do anything significant. Wasn't a hero, or a prominent activist or civil rights leader. There are so many more worthy people that deserved that honor, over the last 15 years. (17 MoH winners, anyone?)

This just isn't right. What has she ever done for the Navy? Nothing. She is a Liberal that was shot by a liberal so that makes her worthy to have a ship named after her? NOT.

Everyone does realize that his is satire right? (I think it's funny - and probably likely that it could happen now how soft and sensitive nature society has become).

SFC (Join to see) The REAL satire is that Mabus named a ship after her at all.

SFC (Join to see) The last paragraph of the story had me in tears, I was laughing so hard:
"UPDATE: Since this story first appeared, Giffords has reportedly been hijacked at gunpoint from its pier at Austal USA’s shipyard. The City of Mobile Police Department is asking anybody with information about the theft to contact the department’s Crime Stoppers line at [login to see] ."
