Michael R. Bloomberg has instructed advisers to draw up plans for a potential independent campaign in this year’s presidential race. His advisers and associates said he was galled by Donald J. Trump’s dominance of the Republican field, and troubled by Hillary Clinton’s stumbles and the rise of Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont on the Democratic side.
Mr. Bloomberg, the billionaire former mayor of New York City, has in the past contemplated running for the White House on a third-party ticket, but always concluded he could not win. A confluence of unlikely events in the 2016 election, however, has given new impetus to his presidential aspirations.

SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL I think that Michael R. Bloomberg is an opportunist. I think he recognizes that one super-rich candidate who has gained traction with significant voters despite main-steam-media wisdom means there is a great opportunity for another super-rich candidate to run for POTUS from the other side.

I was watching the typical Sunday morning quarterbacks talking about everything under the sun when it comes to both parties running, however I did find one thing interesting and it was based on numbers, not someone's opinion. This report says that HRC is in even worse position this year than she was in 2008. Its hard to imagine Bernie Sanders actually having a chance but something has his numbers up and hers down. Makes a person wonder if a lot of people are thinking the FBI is going to recommend charges. If that happens, even if Obama blocks the DOJ she is done for.
