SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL CPT (Join to see) TSgt Hunter Logan CPT Walt Tollefson . This VA Presumptive List still fails to list the Toxic exposure of Army and Marines personnel that trained at Fort McClellan, AL between the 1930s and 1990s. The EPA closed the post for the large concentration of PCBs in the air, ground and water. The post shares a water supply with the Monsanto plant in Anniston, AL that produced Agent Orange and other toxic chemicals.

SGM David W. Carr LOM, DMSM MP SGT roger that, in my opinion they didn't approve it. However you can always do a Congressional with the support of your political representatives. For good measure call the VA hotline-
[login to see] to check-in with the good ole VA.

SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL - Actually if you go to the VA.gov website and type in Fort McClellan you will be sent to publichealth.va.gov.

When I used my TRICARE back in 2009; I was diagnosed from a biopsy to have Prostrate Cancer stage 1. Four months later when I had robotic prostrate cancer surgery at a civilian hospital I was a stage 2/3. If I had depended on the VA hospital there is a strong chance I would not be alive today.

The VA denied my claim for Prostrate Cancer even though I sighted Fort McClellan.

Thanks for sharing the VA Presumptive List SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. AS somebody who served for 34 years in the Military of which the DoD considers just under 19 years when I was full-time active duty [1974 - 1992 and 2001 - 2004], I strongly recommend that everybody on active duty be proactive about your medical records.
Because I had a gap from October 1992 to October 2001 where I was USAR soldier my mobilization from 2001 to May 2004 documented most of my service-connected disabilities. Some conditions such as osteoarthritis, heart disease, and shingles had manifested during my first 16 years in uniform. Because I maintained my health records the VFW was able to extract enough information so that my initial VA disability rating for service-connected disabilities was 70% with many others listed but rated at 0%. Many illnesses or injuries are rated based on extent or surface area coverage. Shingles, [post-herpetic neuralgia, psoriasis, etc. are rated based on percent of body area affected.
Injuries and diseases which happen while you are on active military service are considered service connective whether you are on duty, at home with family or on vacation, etc.

Thanks for sharing. I found out that based on my service dates and some of my conditions (that I do receive disability for) I may qualify for Gulf War Syndrome. I need to look into that before December 31, 2016!
