I still remember my first operational deployment to Kuwait in 1999, depending on which PAT Site we were occupying, our DCU's would always have oil residue from the residual burning oil.

SFC Davis Jr., as a Veteran of Desert Shield/Storm that has chronic pain from nerve damage due to being deployed to King Khalid Military City as the Saudi's called it. And, we refered to it as Logistics Base Bravo; I have been fighting with the VA since I was medically Retired from the Air Force in September 2010 to get my 100% Disability Rating and Individual Unemployment (IU). The Air Force Neurologist that was taking care of me; included a letter in my Retirement medical physical that I was not allowed to work again. The reason he cited was that working at any job would aggravate my numerous nerve injuries to the point that I would miss more work than be able to perform. In one of my appeal physical examination, the Dr, said that I had no business working. While I'm rated 90% by the VA; I can't seem to be able to get that last 10%. And, the VA has denied my IU; saying that I can perform sendatary (sp) work, like answer a phone or file paperwork in a back office.
Now, the Social Security Administration disagrees with the VA about my being disabled and being able to work. As soon as I met the minimum 6 month requirement for medically not being able to work; I received my disability from them.
Finally, on my Retirement orders; the blocks on the orders stating that I had been injured in a Combat Zone or during a time of war, we're checked no. Even with the Military Neurologist I was seeing at the time saying that my injuries were a direct result of my deployment to the Gulf for Operation Desert Shield/Storm. I even got a letter from the Pentagon back in 2005 I believe, saying that I was one of 50,000 Service Members/Veterans identified as being exposed to an unknown Chemical and Biological Agents.
If anyone on here has a copy of this letter; would you please let me know? Thank you very much for your help with this issue.

SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL., I completely forgot to ask if you are experiencing any medical issues from your service during the deployment?
