Agreed, all music carries a message, and I do not mean in a backwards mastering, praising the devil sort of way either. It is through the lyrics, the sound, and tonality of instruments used. If you listen, you can hear it.

SGT (Join to see) - I never thought of it that way. It's something that all musicians are trained to do. We are taught that it is a way to respect the composer and to help them live on through their works.

SSgt Mark Lines - I agree. And with time, hopefully it matures. It's looking past what's at face value and dissecting the inner workings - the melody, harmonies, message(s) in the lyrics, overall tone, and timing relative to the creator, etc.
