SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL that is sad news that "Richard J. Pieri, 59, of Drums was driving under the influence of alcohol and other offenses earlier this week for allegedly showing up at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., to help in a surgery after he had been drinking the night of Feb. 4.
I hope that this is an isolated incident and that the vast majority of VA medical personnel are sober when performing their duties.

LTC Stephen F. Its ashamed, but true, like you said, " I hope that is an isolated incident." This takes away from the Veterans health care and its just not safe. What a disgrace in my opinion.

Wow...that's a new one, I thought I'd seen just about everything while I'd trained at multiple hospitals before my total perm disability, incl VA hospitals...that's pretty wild and incredible, if true, you know? Wow....
