GENERAL LAURIS NORSTAD U.S. Air Force Biography Display

Thanks SGT John " Mac " McConnell for sharing the biography of US Air Force General Lauris Norstad. like all Air Force Officers from his day he was an Army Air Corps officer before he was USAF officer. He graduated from USMA, West Point with graduate number 8924 and was commissioned in the cavalry. Calvary was a logical course of action for somebody who would eventually be a pilot and leaders of air units. the fluidity of horse and later armored cavalry was the closest maneuver force to what would be eventually a air maneuver arm.
