Welp... Russia Today is always worth reading just like Pravda was always worth reading in 1970's. It's pretty straight propaganda, and a good example of Russia's increased ability to use"New Media" and Social Media to push its goals.

Within that framework, the article is one cherry-picked out-of-context comment after another, interspersed with outright lies and willful deception. I can't take it seriously as journalism, I can only take it seriously as AgitProp that should be monitored and its effects measured. Russians love using "fellow travelers", they are past and present masters of it.

On the dry facts, sure. AgitProp that makes up everything would be useless, and the Russians have been in this game way too long to make THAT kind of rookie mistake. But a few biscuits of truth that get 3 gallons of gravy lies/fabrications/editorializing isn't exactly an enjoyable meal.

I'd be interested to know what you're referring to, Sir. Are there stories they've broken that our (stunningly diverse and uncontrollable, thank goodness) media has lied about or hidden?

SGT (Join to see) - Spec; Very astute observations.

BTW, Pravda is still worth reading - at times it's absolutely hilarious and almost comes up the high standards of journalistic integrity set by the Weekly World News.

Well Sir, it's from RT, so very difficult to fact check or verify...The Russians love a good smear story. However, if one can wade through the rhetoric, there are some critical points to consider: Has anything (including the major players) changed in the Middle East from Acre to Azaz? Did the series of revolutions between 1776 and 1917 really do anything to the basic structure of power globally? Are the citizens of the "Free World" naive minions fed on stimulants, fad-diets and "Super Size" meals and addicted to porn and reality TV?

Almost makes you want to cry...except, it probably isn't totally accruate.

The truth is more likely that human beings are flawed, and when flawed collectively, dangerous. If we all really wanted peace at any cost, the world would abandon money, share arable land, and call "nation" nothing further than the few thousand people we had to live and survive around-but even if we tried that, it wouldn't be long before someone stole someone's cow, raped someone's wife, or killed someone's son...and we'd be back on the road we started down. I suppose that's why we "have" to have uncomfortable things like government and nuclear weapons...so that at least there's some chance that for the sheer sake of humanity, a few people will keep the lot of us from burning the house down around civilization.

LCDR (Join to see) - Commander; When dealing with what people believe then "reality" is a lot less important than what they "think".

[1] Always know what the other side is thinking. is ALWAYS operative.

RT is there paid by Putin or his oligarchs with guys like Jessie Ventura and Larry King and some hot ladies to keep us guys looking. RT is there but nobody says about Russia, like Turkey, is shutting down newspapers and tv stations because they don't print what the government wants it to.. RT is probably there to bring in doubt but who knows?

The 2016 election cycle is the greatest argument against nuclear weapons ever. None of these people should be anywhere near nuclear launch capabilities.
