Of course the person who stands to make huge gains thinks that contracting out the war in Afghanistan would save the U.S. Taxpayers money. Further the headline is misleading. It is not a general discussion of whether a private military force is cheaper than a state military force. It is specific to Afghanistan. A very good point is that the average American is too far removed from the war. With few serving, no war rationing, no industrial movement to produce materiel on a massive scale, the average American can ignore this war until one of ours is killed. Then it is "Oh what a tragedy" until the next celebrity break up, hook up, or sex tape comes out.
