Why don't we simply shoot down North Korea's missiles? This author claims we can't. Well, we can't until they're on the way down. So, why not shoot them down on the way down?

We should be retrieving the warheads from their tests for analysis -- that's what we did in the 60's for Soviet launches.

I've wondered the same for awhile. Unless we're being played it doesn't make sense not to. It's always good to keep a bad guy around to justify defense spending. One in the hip pocket for when things get really tough politically as well. Nothing changes the subject on MSM better than a natural disaster or a war. Only one of those is mostly man-made. Plenty of options for now with NK, Iran and GWOT.

IF we had a ship with one of the THAD systems in it off the coast of Korea, why couldn't we hit the missile when it left Korean airspace?
