Gen. Earl Anderson laid to rest at Arlington

I was able to attend services for General Anderson this morning. It has been my good fortune to get to know the General and his two sons David and Mark through the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR). SAR awarded General Anderson its Gold Good Citizenship Medal in April 2015. I had the privilege to share the stage with the General at that ceremony, as I was President of his SAR Chapter (Fairfax Resolves). Semper Fi, General. Rest well.

ACMC Gen. Anderson and CMC Gen. Cushman were shown the door early because they rigged the letters that the 3 stars sent in - the ones where the 3 stars -anonymously- state who they think who the new CMC should be. Anderson and Cushman somehow queered this process so they somehow who which 3 star sent which letter.
Those latter worthies were extremely upset.
I don't say that to besmirch the memory of General Anderson. But it is part of our history and I do recall it contemporaneously from 1975.
