Wow... this is about the most blatant case of murder by police as I have ever seen. Normally the cover up is worse than the murder itself, but in this case the murder may be worse than the cover up. Not to mention the bleeding injured woman on the ground that the cop also seems to just ignore.

When he reported "I've got an unresponsive male refusing to get out", he probably should have caveated that with "I just killed him a few seconds ago, which may be why he's unable to get out."

According to the news story, he said "He told investigators the gun had accidentally discharged."

Update to the story: looks like he was charged after a few weeks, though manslaughter seems like way too low of a charge. http://www.krcrtv.com/news/local/feaster-charged-in-deadly-officerinvolved-shooting/37919922

Thanks for the update, at least he is being charged with something...though manslaughter seems insufficient.

SPC(P) Jay Heenan - There was also a bleeding woman on the ground at his feet the whole time. The way he walked around her like she was a pile of garbage and not once did do anything to try to help. It reflects the worst of human character, let alone for a public servant.

Prosecutors called the shooting an accident, saying Feaster “did not intentionally fire his pistol” and that “he was in shock at the scene and not certain his weapon had actually discharged.”

What a crock of bullshit. You don't draw your weapon and fire at an unarmed person when you are in no imminent danger and then get to call it a accident. If any civilian had done that, they would be in jail awaiting trial for murder.

I firmly believe the lack of action by some DA's cause as bad an attitude toward police as dumb stuff like this.
