OOOO!! I'll bite!!
The reason there is no tag for "capitalism" is because Conservatives and conservative pundits have spent a great deal of time, money, and energy making "socialism" a four letter word, much to the point to where very few people can give you an accurate definition of what it means. Sadly, all you will get is the emotional response i.e. "Socialism is bad/evil/taking from makers, etc.
Also, the Dept. of Education was created in order to fulfill the Founding Fathers "belief in the unalienable relationship between a well-educated citizenry and a healthy democracy." In other words, well educated people make well educated decisions. GOP attempts to gut the Dept. of Education do not mirror the Founding Fathers intent and, IMHO, would only serve to widen the gap between the "elite" and "the unwashed masses."

MCPO Roger Collins - Spot on. Each local community to serve as a laboratory. When one tyrannical head makes decisions for all, all are subject to it's bad decisions.

MCPO Roger Collins - How did we ever manage to get by before 1980, without a federal dept. of education?

CPT (Join to see) - The last time we were #1 was twenty years ago according to History . Net. It takes time to destroy an institution. Much less to destroy Medical Insurance, they learned a shortcut.

And why did we decline in education 20 years ago? Could it be with the cuts to education?

I can't help but notice that this commentary about the politics of envy has rattled the cages of the most envious. Whereas Mr Whittle reports that he may have made an impression upon a group of high school students, it appears that those commenting in this discussion are beyond the age during which they could be impressed. They've attacked Mr. Whittle. They've attacked me. (One has even blocked me - fear of an opposing opinion?) If anyone doubts the impact of envy, just follow their discussions. They don't address the points Mr Whittle makes. They attack him. They offer in rebuttal alternative views from those who promote the politics of envy, those who "cook the books" to prove their point. What is the point of even trying when those in the thrall of envy are beyond reason?

Thanks CPT Jack Durish for mentioning Bernie sanders and the Politics of Envy.
I read yesterday that Occupy Wall street may be making appearance in time to affect the election. They epitomized the politics of envy.
To answer your question about Tags, I expect the reason Capitalism is not a topic group is that membership would be too broad. We can no longer tag Veterans because that is to many people.
