Vets should be taking care of vets - If that was the case there would not be any problems.

More lies fed to us, the veterans. My father-in-law worked at his local VA as a "janitor". He had 22 years in logistics, retired as a senior NCO, was responsible for millions of dollars of equipment, supplies, etc when he retired. None of it meant anything when he applied. He did that job for a few years then became a postman and retired from that job a few years ago. He saw that the veteran hiring preference at the VA was a lie from the get go. They can't take care of us medically, benefits wise and now we realize we have no preference for hiring either, no matter what your qualifications are. OUTSTANDING VA!!!

It is not just the VA - Veterans Preference in Federal, State & Local governments is mostly a joke and is rarely honestly applied unless forced upon them.

CWO2 John Markiewicz - it doesn't surprise me. They will say anything to appease the guys who know how to use force and exert power against power.

He needs to flogged, I'd hire a vet that has medical back ground first.
