Good article, but it also mentions how "model minority" stereotype is also detrimental. There are multiple ethnic backgrounds for Asians (south/India, east/China, southeast/Vietnam to name a few) with varying degrees of success. While some do well in school, it does not always equal career success based on low numbers in C-suite and struggles for men in romantic dating.

"Why are Asian-Americans so successful?
Relative to other racial and ethnic minorities, they live in wealthier neighborhoods, have high marriage rates, high levels of educational achievement, and are successful in the labor market. The most striking success of Asian-Americans, and the one most commonly highlighted in the media, is in educational attainment."
