Can't say I've never been tempted, but it sure ain't worth it, even if it weren't wrong! When I leave a range, I make sure I even clean it out from under my fingernails. I ain't getting busted over a little C4.

Served with some SPC 4's in my Scout Platoon. They had apparently created a lucrative business with a surplus store in pilfered TA50 etc. I remember them being caught with Tracer ammo up in a drop ceiling of the barracks. That led to the recovery of a live LAW in one of their off post apartments.
