SGT (Join to see) It was a nice little tool. It allowed me to tweak so many settings in a comfortable GUI setting. When I stopped using Ubuntu, I forgot all about it. Too bad that with the rise of Ubuntu's Mac-like Unity DE it became less and less relevant.

I thought Compiz was the only of it's kind because that's what Mint had pre-installed. It's been a while since I was on a distro long enough to get bored with my desktop.

SGT (Join to see) You could use it with Mint, but is wasn't pre-installed. When I switched to Mint, I decided to learn how to do my tweaking from the command line. I never used Mint before Cinnamon came out.

SSgt Mark Lines - Then I have no idea what I was using to do those custom window motions and random extras.

SGT (Join to see) You know, I re-read my post, and it was unclear and inaccurate. I am sorry about that. You did use compiz for the effects, I was talking about Ubuntu-Tweak. I did not use it when I switched to Mint. I was using Compiz-Manager instead. Now that the Cinnamon and Mate DE's are more mature, they do not use Compiz. The effects are baked into it. You can install Compiz on Mate 17+, but it can cause instability issues.
