Insanity. I would love to drag everyone in a leadership position in the Russian army into a war crimes court starting with Putin

And yet people right here on Rallypoint insist there have been no war crimes committed by the Russian army

CPT Lawrence Cable always a reliable voice for Russia in the comments. You’ve found your narrative, now you run with with it big boy

SFC Thomas Foreman - I was training to fight in the Fulda Gap when there were 80,000 Warsaw Pact tanks sitting across the Wire. That was a real Soviet Threat. This is the Russians in their own backyard and everyone tries to make it into the same threat. It isn't.
I want to see the US get away from playing world cop, we suck at it, and start defending our vital interests in the world. Ukraine isn't one of them.

CPT Lawrence Cable I knew you’d work in some self aggrandizing.
Listen dude…I get that you want a small little world that doesn’t trouble you but we’re well past that. We have provided aid and assurances to Ukraine and substantially more to several of its neighbors. The gif bad Soviets that you never actually fought are the quite a few of the generals and minsters running this war. Maybe 44 million people in a country with valuable resources who largely want to be an American ally don’t move your needle much but I’m not a monster so if we want to even pretend that America stands for freedom anywhere we have to stand here. Otherwise we have zero standing in the world.
You are opposed to supporting Ukraine not for any “facts” you’ve discovered in your “research”
You became opposed to our involvement the moment the president announced he was supporting Ukraine. It’s so blatantly obviously, you and all your other little pro Russian goblins …you’re not even worthy of being labeled trolls…started sucking up any narrative, any discrepancy, any false flag waving reason your could find JUST TO BE AGAINST IT.
I don’t care what flimsy little arguments you offer up. You are wholesale repeating exactly the things Putin wants you to repeat and you either lack the intelligence to realize it or lack the self awareness to understand how far you have fallen from the oath you took to this country.
You should be ASHAMED of yourself.

SFC Thomas Foreman - I've served and listened to Officers, NCO's and Civilians through all of the bad guys of the month club. 1982 the Soviets were the real bad guys, tanks on the East German and Czech border, Communist regimes with Cuban support in Central America and the Caribbean. That went away with the collapse of the Soviet Union. I've taken crap for pointing out that Saddam was a monster when he was one of "our" guys, that the Saudis only difference from Iran was that they sold us oil and bought our military hardware, that supplying weapons to Islamic Fundamentalist is probably a bad idea in the long run even though they were screwing with the Soviet, and that Pakistan as an ally left a lot to be desired. So what happened? Saddam invades Kuwait, the Saudi's money funded 9/11 and Al Queda, the Fundamentalist in Afghanistan, whom were supported by the Pakistani ISI, allowed the country to become a training ground for Al Queda Terrorist, and Bin Laden hid in Pakistan. What did I miss?
And since you seemed to have missed this part of history, we spent 20 years in Afghanistan, and I would still fully support the removal of Al Queda and the ruling Taliban, but didn't even get clear of the Airport before it fell back into that hands of Taliban. Was that worth the American Lives lost there? Iraq is still a shithole and we still are engaged there after 31 years, what have we solved there? You wonder why I suspect supporting another failed state?
Since you don't seem to remember Oath. I ___, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.
Now explain to me how fighting the Russians in the Ukraine protects the Constitution?
If I'm going to pick a bad guy right now, I pick China.

Should NATO get actively involved, send in troops, provide air support? What would be the reaction of Russia?

PO2 Marco Monsalve
It's one hell of a tough call. I'm afraid that, given what we've seen, Putin is not going to stop with Ukraine and we'll be facing the same situation again.

If it weren’t for the nuclear threat I’d be advocating for ground troops in a heartbeat, myself included. But I’m half Ukrainian so my judgement may not be pure lol
