U.S. defense spending compared to other countries

Concession 1: The US spends a lot of money on defense.
Concession 2: The US spends more money on defense that other countries.
Concession 3: A lot of that money is wasted.

That said, I don't care what other countries spend in comparison to the U.S. any more than I care about how much my neighbors invest into their home alarm system.

What matters is what fits my needs of my home. How I secure my home is my business and it would do me well to conduct my business in a financially responsible manner but conduct it I must without regard to a cost comparison with Bob next door.

CAVEAT: If I get word that Bob has a new grill with high speed gadgetry that makes and pours his drinks and give a back rub ... I'm flying drones over head with satellite grade cameras to get the scoop. Or I suppose I could just knowck on his door.

Are you skeptical about increasing entitlement spending (welfare, SS, medicaid) as well?
