This TED Talk illuminates the "light and darkness" of the Power of Social Media. The Army published an ALARACT in July 2015 concerning Online Professionalism and Conduct. As a leader, what did you do when you received a complaint of online misconduct? Can we use social media to create thoughtfulness, civility and reasoned argument?

I complained about a Soldier talking smack on Facebook before. I backed it up with print screens showing clearly what was said. They print screens were used to talk to the Soldier in hopes they would turn it down. The Army (thankfully) looks at talk on Social Media just the same as in person talk. A picture or a few words can destroy an organizations brand so it's vital that we always discuss professionalism in the ranks. Starting from PVT to retirement.
