So if a new was passed making the penalty for illegal parking a ten year license suspension and driving ban you would just stop driving ten years?
Penalty has to fit the crime, and until 1997 it did. Now, it is what we call cruel and unusual penalty.
So here's how "legal" immigration in that situation goes. Undocumented father drops his six-year-old daughter off at first grade and says "I'm applying for my green card honey, If everything goes well, Ill be back in time for your prom."
Ridiculous, barbaric, and in need of change.

How can anyone with an undocumented immigrant parent, spouse or child support following a legal procedure that requires 10-year exile and family separation as part of the process?

1) The legal family members have a Congressional member to change those laws and 2) no forced them to get in that situation to begin with.

I'm trying to sympathize with the immigrants that try to find a better life but when their children says stuff like this....my sympathy goes away.
