The element of the band that performed at my retirement was appreciated and undoubtedly pulled some comp time. Music and displaying abilities is what bands do. SSG Carlos Madden

What does this say about the manner in which Congress (maybe even civilians) view military culture? If music hath charms to soothe the savage breast, maybe they don't want ours soothed. They want killers, not dancers...
