I fear that this type of leadership has taken over the Navy as a whole. Just observe our Navy when you are anywhere on Base. The organization and discipline seems to have gone by the wayside for Political Correctness. To concerned about giving a month of tribute to some group so that they can celebrate being noticed. Stop with all the unnecessary pomp and get to work. Readiness appears to be well below the required level's.

I am sure that the CNO will now come out with some mass directive addressing leadership failure. Why is a directive needed? Chief's, Senior Chief's and Master Chief's they all need to get off their butts and start leading. Senior leadership is the key. Without that stern base the structure fails and falls to the ground.

This link doesn't give a lot of information, but giving up sensitive information about their vessels is inexcusable. Missing departure time by four hours. Deviating from the established route. Whoever was in charge of this mission deserves to be be fried if this is accurate. The lack of discipline in the face of the "enemy" is shameful, and speaks poorly of the command as a whole.
