SGT (Join to see) I would definitely purchase this. Just for the sheer geek factor.

Right ? ! I had to fight so hard to not buy this the first hour I saw it. I may need to unfollow this thread. This would be so awesome to carry in classrooms for notes versus my EEE.

Hmm....I wonder with the right programming, if this can be turned into a miniature all around gaming emulator.

Probably.
I have used this on a Raspberry Pi to make NES and SNES emulators. I also have an N64 emulator on there, but the board I used is old and can't support it.

This has a 1GHz processor and 512MB ram and you may be able to use the GPU to support emulating 64 bit systems, though that is just a thought. I can't prove that.

SGT (Join to see) Ok...I have a degree in Management, Information Systems. I am a consummate nerd. I am an avid video gamer, I have over $3k into my desktop, and I appreciate the benefits of Linux.

Why on earth would you buy a crippled device like this, relative to any android or (choke, gasp, puke) an iPhone? I understand the whole 'rebel' vibe, I do. But man. At the end of the day, I want PROCESSING POWER. Cycles. MIPS.

Different tools for different tasks. Never know what benefits can come from being "grandfathered in".

I think it is just a nice little toy for hacking. I set up a networked security system that uses motion sensing cameras using raspberry pis, an old dell, and a handful of Logitech Web cams. Wrote a lot of it in python and used django as an MVC.

I would use something like this as a "mobile" (in range of my wifi) management tool or a viewer of some sort, but you are right, I can just access the "Web page" i set up on an android or iPhone.
