After using it for over a week, I have to agree with the reviewer. Linux Mint 18 is one of the most stable releases yet. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get their feet wet with Linux. SGT (Join to see) (Join to see)

PO1 John Miller Since Ubuntu went to their Unity DE, I have stopped recommending it to new users. Linux Mint offers one of the best environments for people to transition from Windows to Linux. I usually use Cinnamon, but have installed Mate on some older machines as well.

My sister once installed Mint on an old laptop of hers and was so proud of herself that she got it configured correctly, able to surf the Internet, etc. and she was bragging that she was "now a bigger geek than you (meaning me)."
