MAJ Carl Ballinger - Not according to the below database, there seems to be a direct correlation to amount of farm subsidies and political leaning (red states get more):

I think there are Republican farmers that take subsides but it's because the subsidy program that exist they must. A
Farmer not taking subsists will be disadvantaged due to the another competing with one who will take it. This is a sample of Goverment meddling in a free market place.

Don't let the color and graphics fool you. It's just another poll. How well have those performed in recent decades? How well has any poll performed prior to the conventions in an election year? How well do they perform in the couple of months following the conventions? We the People have made our choices. They're not very good choices. Neither party establishment is particularly happy with the hand they've been dealt. But the die is cast and we'll just have to wait for it to stop tumbling in Novermber

It's already too late this election cycle. Unless he quits before the convention any attempt to replace him as the nominee will be seen (rightfully) as "stealing" the nomination from him, this would turn off even more voters than leaving him on the ticket.

Really we need to be focused in the short term on getting disaffected Republicans to come out and vote in November rather than stay home in disgust or apathy. Even if that means getting them to vote for a third party candidate for President they can still vote for Republicans downballot. Those with strong morals or ethics won't be able to put those aside to vote for Trump anyways but we need them to come out and vote.

Longer term we need to bring the party back to it's roots and make it a real alternative to the Democrats and their "progressive" platform. That means we are going to have to re-learn the definition of the words "compromise" and "negotiate" and not use obstructionist tactics and scare-mongering (as in "You have to vote for me because the other guy is much worse") tactics.

Sadly they all need to go. There are no democrats or republicans anymore. Hence the proliferation of your tea parties. They all are money whores. Too many democrats voting conservative and too many republicans voting liberal. No core values anymore.
