Absolutely right but other than posting on Twitter (X) you won't see this. What you will see is the small percentage of white on black violence...never black on black (which is responsible for the majority of black deaths) or black on white even when they are screaming hate slogans and racism...this is what we have come to...
You can't fix a problem you refuse to acknowledge...

SSgt (Join to see) - I guess my point is, there is simply not enough attention given to mental health problems in this nation. Especially when it comes to firearms.

If you drop the last sentence I 100% agree. Mental Health is a problem that touches a lot more than just firearms.

SSgt (Join to see) - Agreed, but this thread is about a mentally disturbed person was able to purchase a firearm.

True. This same person would have also been allowed to purchase fertilizer, ammonia, and all the other ingredients to build a truck bomb. To purchase any number of "killing implements" like knives, hammers, rocks, axes, lead pipes, black powder, etc. However, he chose to do evil. He chose to use a gun. He did do evil. What "gun control" law can be made to stop him? Without affecting the other 99.99% of law abiding citizens?

Too bad legislators can't make laws holding the shooter responsible and not law abiding citizens who simply enjoy the different sports or hunting events which require a firearm.
