My life got a lot easier when I gave up on trying to keep my passwords something I could remember. Now I use LastPass and let it auto-generate insanely complex passwords, a unique password for every site/system so if one site gets compromised none of the others are at risk.

SSgt Mark Lines - I think there are many differences between Lastpass, Keypass, and KeypassX. I forgot though

Insanely complex passwords are great and all, expect now they are so hard that people end up writing them down...

This article re-enforces a notion that I picked up in my various security classes: The more secure a system is, the less user-friendly it is, and the more user-friendly a system is, the less secure it is. In the end, we can only hope to strike a happy medium between the two.
