18 Women Graduate From Army’s Enlisted Infantry Training

Kudos to those who made it, in fact kudos to the ones that attempted it. The Marines have been sending females to SOI for a year or two now, and are starting to put hem in infantry units as well.
My only concern is the high attrition rate from both basic and AIT. Only 18 of the 48 who went to Boot camp went through all the training and were awarded the MOS. Is a 60% attrition rate really worth pushing this issue?
Also anyone who served in an Infantry unit knows that injuries will further prevent some soldiers from completing their first enlistment
