That is interesting that the Obama administration had finally admitted "that a $400 million cash payment to Iran seven months ago was contingent on the release of a group of American prisoners" SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL including pastor Saeed Abedini and Washington Post reporter Jason Rezaian.
"Earlier this month, after the revelation the U.S. delivered the money in pallets of cash, the administration flatly denied any connection between the payment and the prisoners."
It is ludicrous that the USA would owe money to the thugs of Iran who overthrew the USA Embassy in 1979 and humiliated our embassy staff until Ronald Reagan was elected and Iran turned them over.
I am not surprised that the Obama administration seems to be grasping at straws to improve his legacy in foreign affairs. The $400M was owed to our former ally Shah Pahlavi not the current government.
In light of our own history of breaking free from an abusive monarchy it is sad that the seemingly historically illiterate administration doesn't recognize how devious the Iranian government really is.
