Are the Police Racist?

Nope. Don't buy it. A video produced by a white woman working for an admittedly conservative group staffed and ran by conservative white people. Not a one of them would know racism if it bit them in the ass.

I don't believe that most police officers are racist. A few are, but a small percentage, overall. I do, however, believe that policing activities and procedures ARE racist. And that is where we have the problems. Get rid of the institutionalized racism in policing, and you go a long way in eliminating the perception that all police are racist.

Well I wouldn't say all police are racist. It's a silly video because one size does not fit all. Of course there are departments where racist behavior is allowed to persist. Where resentment and stereotypes of Black men are rampant. You can quote all the so called experts you want but in MY personal experience I had a police officer in uniform tell me he doesn't like "all you colored people coming to our neighborhood." When I told him not to call me colored he asked "what do you want me to call you nigger?" I was 16 yrs old. When I was in college we were driving to a party at a another college in some white suburb. We were trailed by the police for several blocks until he pulled us over for not signalling and proceeded to call four other squad cars for backup. They had us there for about 45 minutes maybe an hour with spotlights on our car. Oh and there was that other time we stopped at a convenient store (probably the same year) and about 6-8 cops rushed the car with guns pointed at us because we looked suspicious. They thought it was a robbery. I guess it's common for the driver to get out and leave everybody else in the car when robbing a store. Idiots. So excuse me if I find your video to be regurgitated bullshit. And of course Chicago came up. I mean why would there be crime on the southside with all the jobs, money and opportunity in those neighborhoods. It's baffling.

Are the police racist? Well, are people racist? This video is an outstanding example of cherry-picking data to support a preferred answer.
