When will the NFL get serious about this? Will they ever?
The NFL released a statement Friday saying that a Panthers team physician and an unaffiliated neurotrauma consultant requested video from a spotter, reviewed Newton's physical response to Stewart's personal foul, and determined "there were no indications of a concussion that would require further evaluation and the removal of the player from the game."
That's essentially the same thing they've been saying for years: 'Nothing to see here'

SSG Carlos Madden, great points and a very worthy share. I'd add this: why should it matter to us? Because getting blindsided by a guy like James Harrison is not dissimilar from TBI in an IED event. Toughen up and Soldier on is not much different than what Cam experienced. This stuff matters... To ALL of us.

With all of the concussion issues in the present day, something has to be done about these blatant hits.
