I've said it once and I'll say it again: The only reason this has lasted as long as it has is because Hillary is running for President. If she left today, all of these scandals and controversies would magically disappear

And I would absolutely have a problem with that. Like most Americans who follow this issue, I want to see someone held accountable for their incompetence. Seeing her lose or pull out would definitely go a long way in satisfying this as I would be comforted that she would not be running this country.

So are you saying that if she lost the election or were forced to pull out of the election that the millions of dollars spent on all of these investigations and hours of "testimonies" essentially would mean nothing? So this hypothesis does have some teeth, yes?

No, that's not what I said at all. What I am trying to point out is Clinton is incompetent. These hearings on Benghazi are highlighting that fact, thus they are well worth the tax dollars spent, as she is trying to run for President. Those same tax dollars would have been spent either way, as there is a set amount set aside for congressional hearing which is always spent.

Karachi - No American lives lost.
2 killed in Uzbekistan were Uzbek security guards
8 killed in Saudi Arabia were local visa applicants.
1 killed in Syria was a Syrian security guard.
0 killed in Athens.
1 rioter died in Serbia.
Yemen - no Americans killed or wounded.
Benghazi - 4 Americans killed.

See why there's a differences?

Whether you want to believe it or not, most Americans do place more value on the lives of their fellow Americans. Cold as it may sound. I'm not going to get into the politics of the issue. I wish their deaths weren't a political issue, but it is what it is, but comparing 7 instances where no Americans died with one where 4 Americans died is comparing apples and lugnuts.

I find all of this interesting. Everyone assumes I must pull the Red lever for my response. When I was in the service - an Ambassador and the Embassy are on American soil. Maybe the world has change - and yes, as an American Marine - I do think it my job to protect American lives first. I also hate war - but 3,000 civilians being killed in one attack on US soil - carries some weight with me. Did I support Iraq - nope.

All of this still confuses me when for 13 hours our embassy was under stack - and everyone knows in the region we have more fire power than you can imagine that has the ability to respond in less than 2 hours - YUP I STILL THINK IT IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND WHY NO HELP ARRIVED - I SCEAMED THROUGH 13 HOURS EVEN KNOWING _ NO HELP WAS COMING.

Has our military values changed that much in 40 years? Just asking because I am that old and this would have outraged my 40 years ago as well and I would not care who it was - we need to know the truth and fix it.

For sure it was no Video - or do most of you belief that story as well?

SP5 Christine Conley - Is there a point to this? Reminding me about the USS Cole attack? I don't need reminded about it. I remember where I was when it happened. Reminding me this happened under the other Clinton? Reminding me Americans died in this attack and the other Clinton administration didn't retaliate at all? Reminding me Secretary Albright didn't blame this on a video? Reminding me this isn't a "Bush Benghazi", as your meme called all the other attacks where Americans didn't die?

SP5 Christine Conley - Not necessarily off course. Possibly off topic for the post but still something to consider. An election is the reason Iran freed our hostages in 1980 and stayed quiet for quite some time.
