To be clear, civilian/LE "Bomb Techs" do a 3 week DoJ course. Military Bomb Techs, or EOD do a minimum of 8 MONTHS and then continually train weekly as well as advanced service/joint DoD training on a bi-annualish schedule as well as pre-deployment training. When you call LE teams EOD, it is a slap in the face to real Techs. Unless they are prior military, they will never come close to what a first year EOD tech learns and does.
