PO1 Chris V. - can't be all the union, they don't hire these people, also some grades are not protected by union.

Idiots are hiring them in the first place as for after the fact, the supervisor and above are scared to act because they first of need to write stuff down and don't. I have seen plenty of people fired in Civil Service, it just take paperwork people are unwilling to do.

I vote both. Management is loyal to the union they came up through. GS'ers should not have collective bargaining.

There was a bit by the late Robin Williams on the Catholic Priest scandals, and how it was like the Ball with the three cups… I see that as how the VA works at times.

Reading that article I find it interesting how they say they are holding people accountable and have fired 3750 people in two years. Never mind they employ some 345,000 people, and that in the last year we have heard of a few dozen scandals, and of people that should have been fired.

Mr. McDonald “You can't fire your way to excellence,” and that is true, you must do more than just pull the weeds from your garden to make you crops grow. You must promote the proper ethics and behavior or you will never see Excellence!! You cannot gain excellence by allowing corruption, nepotism, criminals, or refusing to address these scandals and issues with more than a flippant dismissal of the grievances. Till then Mr. McDonald you are part of the problem.
