Thanks for sharing SPC Edward Lavoie. Before Operation Overlord, D day referred to each and every assault from the sea throughout the Pacific. After Operation Overlord, to the non-military mind D -day refers to the seaborne and airborne assault on Normandy.
The ubiquitous M-4 Sherman tank had many variants and its distinctive shape is easily recognizable.
