Ask me why I mentioned that Hillary originally didn't want anyone from Fox News as a moderator for the Presidential Debates? Well, it happened.
"Competing interests and political agendas on all sides made the decision of selecting moderators difficult. Hillary Clinton, whose campaign objected to the involvement of anyone from Fox News, according to a person directly involved in the negotiations, needs to avoid having the debate turn into a televised catharsis for doubts about her honesty and likability.
Her opponent, Donald J. Trump, has an interest in maintaining his adversarial relationship with the media, which he uses as fodder for his arguments that the entire political system is conspiring to defeat him.
And the debate commission, which found its relevance at risk after efforts by Republicans to undermine its credibility as an independent player in the process, needed to demonstrate that it was not biased or susceptible to pressure from either campaign.
The commission’s choices were unlikely to provoke strong opposition, which was by design. The inclusion of a moderator from Fox News was an effort to appease conservatives who had long grumbled about the lack of conservative media representation in the debates."

She's probably trying to figure out how to weasel out of all of the debates. She's definitely going to dodge the last one. Check them both for those ear pieces too.

LTC (Join to see) - oh he'll show. If he doesn't he is gutless. I m dying to see these two wolverines chasing each other around the debate cage. I'm still dumbfounded that the two choices have come down to this. Next election will be George Clooney and Kid Rock.

SFC Mark Merino - Yes, he will show, and if the moderator keeps it to policy he'll get trounced. Hopefully the moderator doesn't let him turn it into an insult-fest like those that defined the GOP primaries.

MCPO Roger Collins - The threshold as it exists today is so high that no third party candidate could attain it. The point isn't that it's 1% or 2% or 0.9%... it's that it allows a third party candidate or two to also be heard. Instead of providing a forum for Presidential candidates the CPD is acting as a gate keeper to block any candidate who isn't Democrat or Republican. We need to find an organization willing to host a debate between all candidates, not just those with billions in corporate sponsorship.

MCPO Roger Collins - There are only 4 candidates registered in enough states to potentially win the election. Right now the number is limited to 2, the Democratic and Republican nominee.
I don't known that Stein or Johnson have been able to make their case before the American people, because most Americans have never heard of them and most of those that know they exist don't know anything about their platform.

Rules can be changed, but not to the extent that the CPD will bring back the chaos encountered in the past. If you can't get 15%, you have a cult following, not a force to drive the nation, JMHO.
