You always have to eyeball the foreign troops. They need protection from an overzealous public and they are also tempted to NOT go back to the craphole that allowed them to train in the US. In the worst case scenario, they just infiltrated the US and are closest to their support channels. Either way, they need to get policed up ASAP.

Hard to say. Each post has its own rules now days. Here at Benning they get a piece of paper and an ID card when they get here to let them on and off post. The WINSEC guys get more freedom. those are the South American paramilitary guys. Most are from Columbia so I think they are going back to train their "friends".CSM Charles Hayden -

There have been other story(ies) on this same subject. The last one I read involved several flight students training to be pilots in the Afgan Air Force. At least one or two of them were captured trying to cross into Canada. This is an example of the type of people we are fighting and dying for, and have died for in the past. Such a tragic misadventure and sacrifice of good people.

To be fair to the Afghans, this is somewhat normal for other foreign training in the United States I believe some of the Central Americans jumped the fence at Ft. Benning school of the Americas during our training of Central American Armies in the 1980's. People just get homesick overseas and change their mind and decide the Army is not for them. Americans do the same.
